While most chains are still debating how quantum computing could impact crypto in the future, @quipnetwork Network is already working on solutions today.
What’s interesting is that Quip isn’t taking the usual route of forcing users to fork chains or migrate assets. Instead, they’re building a post-quantum security layer that can work alongside existing ecosystems like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana.
The team recently opened account creation through:
According to the project, users can register quantum-resistant security keys without moving their assets to a new wallet. That’s a pretty different approach compared to many current Bitcoin security discussions.
Beyond wallet protection, Quip is also developing a “quantum-classical compute network” combining quantum computing and blockchain infrastructure to handle real computational workloads instead of traditional meaningless PoW hashing.
Feels like the “quantum-resistant” narrative could become much bigger over the next few years as both AI and quantum computing continue to evolve fast.
Still an early project, but definitely an interesting direction worth keeping an eye on
